A Gannets eye view

Location: Bempton Cliffs RSPB, East Riding of Yorkshire
The towering chalk cliffs at Bempton Cliffs RSPB are the home to more than 200,000 sea birds and were quite a spectacular sight when we visited in early July. The star species nesting here are Kittiwakes, Gannets, Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins. This is one of the best places in England to see, hear and smell seabirds. The birds make the cliffs seem alive with adults bringing food to their nests or young chicks making their first faltering flights.
This gannet was tucked down next to one of the viewing platforms and did not take kindly to my getting too close to him!
