Location: On the east bank of Buttermere Lake
I’ve always wanted just a shot of the famous ‘Buttermere Pines’ along the southern shore of Buttermere so when I thought the conditions were right I set off for Buttermere. It was an early start of around 5.00 am Arghh on a lovely still April morning. When I got to Buttermere the conditions were prefect for the shot I had in mind. I waited for about an hour until the early morning sun started to light up ‘The Sentinels’ which they are locally know as and the job was done. I get a lot of satisfaction obtaining the image I set out to capture and I hope I have done them justice.
