Location: At the end of the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive
The Temple of Sinawava is a picturesque canyon surrounded by rock walls reaching 2000 feet. Here you can find the Pulpit and Altar rock formations and a spectacular waterfall that cascades down the temple’s west wall for over 1000 feet during spring and summer. It was just a small trickle when we were there.
It is the beginning of the pretty but very popular Riverside Walk which parallels the Virgin River to approach The Narrows a difficult and dangerous hike where you have to wade in water sometimes up to waist height. It had rained a couple of days before we were there and The Narrows were closed due to the height of the river.
