Abandoned Croft at Kalnakill on the way to Applecross

Abandoned Croft at Kalnakill on the road to Applecross with Rona in the background. Being a photographer, these abandoned buildings and crofts make for some great subject matter but they always make me sad to see as these were once homes of hard working farmers. Not sure where it all went wrong really, perhaps the gains were not worth the effort needed to live in such a tough environment - but leaving this view and location must have been heart breaking.
