A greetings card of Early morning mists surrounds the Langdale Pikes containing on the reverse 'The Langdale Valley is very often shrouded in autumn mists and if you can get up to Side Pike when the mist is lifting but is hanging on in the valley then you're on to one of the nicest views in Lakeland. This was one of those occasions early in the autumn when the valley was just waking up.
