Elegug Stacks
The Elegug Stacks, also named Stack Rocks, are situated just to the east of the Green Bridge of Wales. The two prominent limestone sea stacks rise up close to the cliffs from a boulder strewn bay. The word Elegug is Welsh for guillemot and there were certainly thousands of them nesting when we visited plus one opportunist peregrine falcon biding his time whilst hiding in the cliffs. There were also rafts of guillemots out to sea catching fish. It was a blustry day but luckily the sun shone for a brief time turning the sea a beautiful turquoise green.
You can see access details for the stacks in The Green Bridge of Wales entry.
