Green Bridge of Wales
The Green Bridge of Wales is a spectacular limestone arch extending into The Wash Bay. It was formed when the sea eroded the rock underneath it. As we approached, the air was filled with the cries of thousands of guillemots. It's an area that's very popular with climbers but activity is limited to certain times of the year so it does not interfere with these nesting birds.
It can be found in the Castlemartin military training area just beyond the car park at Stack Rocks and beside the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The bridge can only be accessed at weekends as live firing takes place through the week. Beware of the tanks!!
