Melting snow on High Crag, Buttermere
When you are in the middle of winter and there is little colour about then it's all about composition. I know Buttermere never disappoints and always looks dark and mysterious especially in winter but when there is some snow about then this seems to lift the shadows especially below High Crag. This image typifies rugged Lakeland, sometimes bleak, sometimes mysterious but in my humble opinion always beautiful.
