Young barn owl

As I was passing St Oswald’s church graveyard in the middle of Grasmere I noticed this beautiful young barn owl sitting on the head of a gravestone. It’s one of the first barn owls I had seen ‘in the wild’ and hopefully, it won’t be my last.
